I visited the Cote D'Azur - the French Riviera.
This was during a trip to the RAID 2004 symposium in Sophia Antipolis, which is just a bit inland from the sea.
These photos were taken at Eurecom in Sophia Antipolis.
In the second photo, you can see Cannes and the Mediterranean Sea in the
distance.
Sophia Antipolis
is essentially a technology research park - perhaps the
one with the best location in the world! (About 10-15km to the sea.)
Sophia Anipolis itself is a bit inconvenient to visit, with few walking paths
and many narrow circuitous roads. Let's just say it has a learning curve.
The Promenade in Cannes.
A view from the promenade of a beach in Cannes.
One way to relax in Cannes.
Again, on the promenade in Cannes, near sunset.
One of Cannes public beaches.
A Cannes sunset.
A Segway "meeting" on the Premenade de Anglais, Nice.
I think this is a tour, actually, with the guide on the left.
(Honestly, have you ever seen more of these in one place before?)

Some street scenes in Nice.
A church tower in Cannes.
Overlooking Cannes' port.
Now, when do I get to go back?! ;^)
