I visited the Cote D'Azur - the French Riviera.<br>
This was during a trip to the <a href="http://raid04.eurecom.fr/">RAID 2004</a> symposium in Sophia Antipolis, which is just a bit inland from the sea.

In the second photo, you can see Cannes and the Mediterranean Sea in the
distance.

<a href="http://www.sophia-antipolis.org/">Sophia Antipolis</a>
is essentially a technology research park - perhaps the
one with the best location in the world!  (About 10-15km to the sea.)
Sophia Anipolis itself is a bit inconvenient to visit, with few walking paths
and many narrow circuitous roads.  Let's just say it has a learning curve.
