If cflowd causes you pain, my suggestion is to use flow-tools instead. (It's what I do.) The documentation is sparse (OK, maybe non-existent - until next FlowScan release) but I've discussed it here: http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka/list/flowscan/archive/0840.html http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka/list/flowscan/archive/0848.html The gist is that you need to do these things: 0) install flow-tools and rebuild and install Cflow, which is supplied in the flow-tools release (contrib). 1) Use flow-tools' flow-capture utility (which essentially is a newer alternative cflowd/cflowdmux): # flow-capture -z0 -N0 -V5 -n287 -w/var/local/flows /10.42.69.1/2055 ^^^^^^^^^^ exporter/router IP 2) Install the updated "FlowScan.pm" here (revision 1.6 or greater): http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka/list/flowscan/archive/att-0848/01-FlowScan.pm 3) and configure "flowscan.cf" as described here: http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka/list/flowscan/archive/0840.html Dave -- plonka@doit.wisc.edu http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka ARS:N9HZF Madison, WI -- Help mailto:majordomo@net.doit.wisc.edu and say "help" in message body Unsubscribe mailto:majordomo@net.doit.wisc.edu and say "unsubscribe flowscan" in message body Archive http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka/list/flowscan/archive/
