FlowScan users, For those of you that have a public web site with FlowScan statistics, there are perhaps privacy concerns with displaying the "Top Talker" hosts reports in public. To address this issue, I've added a new option to the "ip2hostname" utility and attached this new revision (1.10) of the script here. You can use this new "-a" option to "anonymize" the hostnames if you decide that you'd like to put Top Talkers on the public page, e.g.: $ ip2hostname -I -a 'host%d.wisc.edu' *.*.*.*_*.html For more info, try: $ ip2hostname -h That's essentially how I generated the "CampusIO Top Talkers" report shown in the slides here: http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka/nanog/html/siframes.htm Later, Dave -- plonka@doit.wisc.edu http://net.doit.wisc.edu/~plonka ARS:N9HZF Madison, WI
